Moonbeam is a smart contract platform on the Polkadot network that offers full Ethereum compatibility. It allows developers to deploy existing Ethereum dApps on Polkadot with minimal changes, enabling them to leverage Polkadot’s scalability, security, and interoperability.
Moonbeam provides a fully Ethereum-compatible environment, including EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), Web3 API, and existing Ethereum toolsets. This means developers can easily port their Ethereum-based dApps and smart contracts to Moonbeam without significant modifications.
GLMR is the native token of the Moonbeam Network. It is used for paying transaction fees, staking, rewarding collators, and participating in governance. The GLMR token is central to maintaining the network's operations and securing its decentralized ecosystem.
To stake Moonbeam (GLMR) on Simply Staking, click the Stake Moonbeam link on our platform, connect your wallet, choose how much GLMR you want to stake, and pick a trusted collator. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. Once staked, your GLMR helps secure the Moonbeam network and you start earning rewards for supporting the protocol.
Rewards begin shortly after your GLMR is delegated to an active collator on Moonbeam. Make sure your wallet is connected and the collator you choose is currently producing blocks. Once delegation is confirmed, rewards are automatically generated each round and visible on your staking dashboard.
When staking GLMR, your tokens are locked and can’t be traded or moved until the unbonding period ends. Collator performance also affects rewards, so poor-performing collators may lead to lower earnings. Blockchain systems carry early-stage risks like bugs or downtime. Simply Staking uses globally load balanced bare Metal Server Architecture to always deliver best performances and minimize Risk.
Moonbeam staking rewards change based on network conditions and collator performance. Estimated APY is usually around 10%, though it can go up or down. Your earnings depend on how much GLMR you stake and the collator’s total bonded amount. Rewards are paid every round and can be manually or automatically compounded.
Hundreds of millions of GLMR are currently staked on the network. As more users stake, total staked supply and network security increase. You can check the latest figures directly on the Moonbeam staking dashboard or network explorer for the most accurate counts.
A significant share of the circulating GLMR supply is actively staked. This percentage changes often as users join or exit the staking program. Higher participation helps secure the network and can influence reward rates. Always check updated staking metrics through the official explorer.
Choose a collator with solid performance and a lower total stake to boost your share of rewards. Look at recent block production to avoid inactive collators. Select a collator in the dashboard, set your stake amount, enable auto-compound if you want, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
Yes. You can add more GLMR, reduce your stake, or fully unbond. Reducing or removing a delegation takes two steps: start the unbond request, then execute it after the network’s exit delay finishes. Once completed, your GLMR returns to your wallet balance and can be moved or re-staked.
