The Cosmos Network is an ecosystem of independent blockchains (zones) that are connected via the Cosmos Hub and the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. Its native token, ATOM, is used to secure the hub, delegate to validators, and participate in governance.
Cosmos uses the IBC protocol (Inter-Blockchain Communication) to enable different blockchains to transfer tokens and data across networks securely and efficiently, enabling interconnected blockchain ecosystems.
Staking ATOM lets you delegate your tokens to a validator, help secure the Cosmos Hub, earn rewards, and participate in governance decisions. You retain custody of your ATOM while staking.
Rewards depend on factors such as validator performance, total stake in the network, and inflation. Current yields for ATOM staking are often in the ~10-18% range but vary with network conditions.
The Cosmos Network enforces a 21-day unbonding period after you initiate unstaking or undelegation, during which your ATOM are locked and do not earn rewards.
Yes. When you delegate ATOM tokens you keep full ownership in your wallet; you never transfer custody to the validator. You should choose a reputable validator to minimise risk.
No, staking rewards must be claimed by the user manually and delegated to achieve compounding effect.
Yes! Delegating ATOM grants you voting power on Cosmos Hub governance proposals, the ability to influence protocol upgrades, validator selection, and network parameters.
Simply Staking offers experienced validator infrastructure, transparent reward reporting, and non-custodial delegation, making it accessible for ATOM holders to stake securely and participate in network consensus.
Yes, Simply Staking supports institutional-grade staking solutions for funds, custodians, and exchanges, including tailored validator service-levels and infrastructure support.
